Heiko Trinsinger | Opera Singer

The German baritone began his career with the 700 year-old Dresden Kreuzchor upon completing his musical studies at the Dresden Conservatory. After completing multiple international master classes, Trinsinger became a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera, which focuses on developing young talent, and later signed up with the Würzburg Theatre. Since 1999, he has been performing at Essens Aalto-Musiktheater, in the key baritone roles of the operatic literature: the title characters Figaro and Don Giovanni, Papageno (The Magic Flute), Marcello (La bohème), Escamillo (Carmen), Jochanaan (Salome), Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte).

Recent years have seen Trinsinger increasingly taking on Wagnerian roles, and he has received great acclaim as Kurwenal (Tristan and Isolde), Wolfram von Eschenbach (Tannhäuser) and, naturally, as Amfortas (Parsifal), the role he will be singing in Budapest. Trinsinger has performed in nearly every major opera house in Germany, but he is also a sought-after and successful guest artist across the rest of Europe. This season, Trinsingers repertoire will be expanded by several additional major parts: he will be singing the title role in Eugene Onegin, Giorgio Germont (Traviata) and the Music Master (Ariadne auf Naxos).
