Marc Mazuir | Opera Singer

Baritone 

 

Marc Mazuir studied at the Paris and Geneva music conservatories, and took master classes with Graziella Sciutti, Gabriel Bacquier, Nicolaï Gedda and Jan Blinkhof. After winning the Voice d'Or competition, he made his debuts at the Grand Théàtre de Genève in Katia Kabanova, Lincoronazione di Poppea, Il barbiere di Siviglia and Wozzeck. 

He has performed in many important opera houses, such as the Opéra de Bordeaux, Teatro Regio in Torino, Opéra Comique in Paris, Opéra de Vichy, Opéra-Théàtre de Metz Métropol, Darmstadt Opera, Grand Théàtre du Luxembourg, Grand Théàtre de Genève, and Opera of Lausanne, of Montpellier, of Rouen and of Tours.

He made his debut as Escamillo in Festival of the Voices of the World in Saint-Denis. 

At The Grand Théàtre de Genève, he interprets the poet Svatopluk Èech in Janáèeks The Excursions of Mr. Brouèek

At Festival Radio France and Montpellier he sang Monsieur Chevreuse at the recording of Louise Bertins La Esmeralda, and Germont in La Traviata with Opera Digest in Switzerland. 

He has participated in numerous concerts for several years during the lyrical cruises Company of Ponant. 

In Avenches Opera Festival, he played Enrico both singer and actor, in an original version of Lucia di Lammermoor from Patrick Lapp and Jean-Charles Simon, which mixes comedy and singing. 

Meanwhile, he has given many recitals in Switzerland, including "Passion and Power - A History of Opera", an original creation; and develops a method of vocal coaching. 

In 2014 he is going to play De Bretigny (Massenet: Manon) at the Opéra de Lausanne and Escamillo in the Hungarian State Opera.
