Szabolcs Brickner | Opera Singer
After graduating as a clarinetist from Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest, he studied singing in the same institution. He continued his studies in the master's course of the Hochschule für Musik, Augsburg. He studied with Nicolai Gedda, Renata Scotto, Éva Marton, Robert Holl, Júlia Hamari and Brigitte Fassbaender. He won the first prize at one of the most prestigious singing competitions, the International Music Competition Queen Elisabeth of Belgium in Brussels in 2008. He regularly appears at concerts as a tenor soloist with leading Hungarian orchestras, and has sung at concerts abroad with conductors including Helmut Rilling, Kazushi Ono and Nicola Luisotti. He made his debut at the Hungarian State Opera House in Nemorino's role (Donizetti: L'elisir d'amore).
