Italian actress Mariasilvia Greco attended the Accademia Teatro del Sogno in Rome between 2008 and 2010, studying under Ennio Coltorti, Gianluca Enria, Maria Letizia Gorga and Teo Bellia. A few years later, in 2014, she graduated from the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico, also in Rome, where her teachers included Lorenzo Salveti, Massimo Popolizio, Theodoros Terzopoulos, Andrea De Rosa, Antonio Latella, Zsámbéki Gábor and Francesca Archibugi.
Alongside her studies and work, she also took part in numerous courses and workshops, first in Rome, Naples and many other cities, and later in Athens and Berlin. She has appeared in numerous theatres and festivals all over Italy, including in Naples, Milan, Bologna, Modena, Udine, Spoleto and several theatres in Rome (such as the Teatro India, Teatro dell’Orologio, Teatro Lo spazio and the Teatro Belli).
In 2014, the Giovani Realtà awards committee gave its praise to the play Odisseo che fai, adesso piangi?, in which she had performed in Udine. Later, in 2016, she received a prestigious Italian theatrical recognition in the form of the Ubu Award in the “best actor under 35” category for her performance in the play Santa Estasi – Atridi: otto ritratti di famiglia.
In addition to her work in the theatre, she has also appeared in radio programmes and short films, such as Francesca Archibugi's La Famiglia, based on the work by Ettore Scola, Sergio Rubini's Sei sull’autobus and Mario Cosentini's I Pescatori. She has also featured in music videos for Cristina Donà's song Così Vicini and Francesco Sàrcina's Parte di me.
