HNBC Summer International Program: 2011
A detailed itinerary will be sent to all accepted and
invited participants
The HNBC-SI program is
inclusive of the following events:
an intensive training program, an international competition on
the main stage of the Opera House, a European audition, and the
European Ballet Forum.
Intensive training program by the
HNBC-SI Faculty in the Hungarian State Opera Budapest.
Mission: The summer intensive training
program emphasizes optimal training by internationally
renowned instructors whose goal is to properly prepare
participants for peak performance on July 23rd. The
final showcase
requires
over two hours of rigorous dance work that begins
with class and ends with formal ballet, character and
contemporary dance selections to be performed by
participants. This program, while intense, allows the
HNBC SI dancers a rare opportunity to demonstrate their
full scope of skills in a performance setting. The
summer training that precedes this showcase is a six day
a week training program tailored for professionally
oriented dancers whose goal is to prepare for an
audition before Artistic Directors; the same performance
showcase will be used to compete for outstanding artist
awards, scholarships and internships.
