Dear Audience,

Due to technical reasons the 28, 31 March and 4, 9 April performances of The Wooden Prince are cancelled. On these dates the Variations on a Nursery Song will be played.

Dear Guests,

Parking is not allowed in the streets around the Opera House (Hajós utca, Lázár utca and Dalszínház utca) and entrance is also restricted in some of them.

Let us draw our guests’ attention to the importance of complying with the rules concerning entrance and parking in these streets so that wheel clamps and parking fines would not harm the experience of our performances.

Thank you for your attention,

Hungarian State Opera

Mayfest
2-13 May 2010

Among the Hungarian highlights of the season, Petrovics’ C’est la guerre is a must see. The one act opera was first broadcast on Hungarian radio in 1961, staged in Budapest a year later. The January performance recalls the 2001 staging directed by Gábor Kerényi Miklós. Text: Miklós Hubay, set designer: Attila Csikós. Further dates: 4,7, February.
