He was born in Albania, and played the violin for eight years before starting his vocal studies as a tenor. Since his debut in Italy in 2003, he has sung the most important Italian tenor main roles in many European opera houses: Gustavo (Verdi: Un ballo in maschera - Teatro Comunale, Bologna, Firenze Maggio Musicale,Florence and Covent Garden, London), Cavaradossi (Puccini: Tosca - Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago and Monte Carlo Opera), Duke of Mantua (Verdi: Rigoletto - Teatro Comunale, Bologna, Covent Garden, London, Bayerische Staatsoper, Munich and San Diego), Manrico (Verdi: Il trovatore - Ravenna Festival). He has also sung at the opera houses of Venice, Cagliari, Rome, Verona, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse, Lausanne and Palermo.
