Opera135

  •

The palace designed by Miklós Ybl was inaugurated in
the presence of Francis Joseph I on 28 September 1884,
exactly 134 years ago: still, our traditional concert is not
a mathematical oversight, as it is to underline the opening
of the 135th season. The concert is linked with the
theme of the season but it provides a selection of works
premiered by the concert orchestra established by the
musicians of the Opera, the Philharmonic Society.

First part
Leoncavallo: Pagliacci – prologue - Michele Kalmandy
Mascagni: Rapsodia satanica

-Interval-

Second part
Respighi: Fontane di Roma
Respighi: Pini di Roma

Featuring the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra

Conductor: Stefan Soltész
