Renée Fleming's Song Recital

The classic song recital with piano accompaniment – two artists’ communal loneliness – requires more bravery than any other vocal form, A great personality of our era, Renée Fleming will continue to confront intellectual challenges at her second recital in Budapest: after her orchestral song and aria recital at the Opera House in 2011, now she will be reaching her fans in the purest artistic way possible, this time at the Erkel Theatre. At the place where, in spite of the huge space, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau had huge success with Svyatoslav Richter “on his side”. And there is another connection: Fleming’s seasoned partner also served as Fischer-Dieskau’s loyal pianist in his final years.
