The soloist of the Moscow theater Novaya Opera was born in Maykop (Russia) in 1987. In 2006 she graduated from the Rostropovich College of Music, Voronezh (choral conducting), and then from the Academy of Choral Art by V. S. Popov (conducting and aolo singing) in 2011 and 2016. Polina Shamaeva participated in master classes of Luybov Kazarnovskaya (2009), Darenn Zimmer (2015), Michael Paul (2016) and Sara Allegretta (2016). She performed as a soloist at the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, International House of Music, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the State Kremlin Palace, Megaro Mousikis Athinon (Greece), Hungarian State Opera (Budapest), The Symphony Hall (Osaka, Japan), Minato Mirai Hall (Iokogama, Japan). She took part in many festivals: International Festival of Colmar in France, Rheingau Music Festival in Germany, Moscow Easter Festival and others. She has worked with Vladimir Spivakov, Viktor Popov, Gintaras Rinkevicius, Balázs Kocsár, Fabio Mastrangelo, Albrecht Hansjorg, Murad Annamamedov, Sergey Kondrashev, Mark Pekarsky, Mihail Pletnev, Evgeniy Bushkov and others. She performed the mezzo-soprano part in more than 30 cantatas and oratorial works (among them: Gloria by Vivaldi, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi, IXth Symphony by Beethoven, Requiem by Verdi, etc.). On opera stages she has sung Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Flora Bervoix (La traviata), Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), Olga (Eugene Onegin), Laura (Iolanta), Feodor (Boris Godunov), Paulina (The Queen of Spades) and others.
