The Hungarian State Opera as a national institution regards it as its duty to support the opera playing of other Hungarian towns. This realization led to the birth of the Primavera series in 2013 which allows guest companies to present their productions at the Erkel Theatre over a week.

So far it has only been featured in the repertoire of the Opera only once – it was put on stage 35 years ago.
