The new show of the Hungarian National Ballet showcases the works of three outstanding contemporary choreographers. Five Tangos is one of Hans van Manen’s best known and, deservedly, most popular works: superb music and dance combine to evoke a pulsing metropolis and a world of fiery and passionate instincts. Bedroom Folk is a streamlined piece boasting a unique visual world and a remarkable musical atmosphere by Sharon Eyal. The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude by William Forsythe, which is already considered one of the most challenging short ballets to perform, pays tribute to classical technique.
The performances take place during the Budapest Dance Festival at the Müpa Festival Theatre.
