After studying literature and art history, Keso Dekker started his career as a painter, writer and a designer of books and exhibitions. Since 1976, he has created the visual designs for more than 500 productions, particularly ballet and dance performances. He has worked for numerous companies and choreographers, including Nils Christe, Heinz Spoerli, Martin Schlaepfer and Alexei Ratmansky.
He has created the visual designs for almost all of Hans van Manen's productions since 1978. Over the years, he has received numerous awards in recognition of his achievements in the areas of design as well as ballet and dance.
