After graduating from the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts, Beáta Vavrinecz collaborating on numerous Hungarian and international films as a set designer at Mafilm from 1985 until 1998 (including Good Evening, Mr. Wallenberg, Kisváros [Small Town], Csinibaba [Dollybirds], The Simon Wiesenthal Story , A Kid in King Arthur’s Court, Sawdust Tales and Jonas che visse nella balena [Look to the Sky]). Since 2006, she has worked on scenic and set design assignements at the Opera House, including designing the sets for the new production of The Nutcracker in 2015.
