2021. március 20-án A Francia Múzsa Szezonjának egyik legkiemelkedőbb bemutatója, Jacques Offenbach Hoffmann meséi című operája látható online Székely Kriszta rendezésében.

What makes the stories of E. T. A. Hoffmann so memorable is the spectacular combination of an unbridled imagination and actual social situations. Offenbach's final, unfinished work is not devoid of humour, but the poet’s romantic adventures are dominated by dark, sometimes fateful, chromatic nuances. Accompanying Hoffmann throughout his search for the absolute ideal of femininity and bringing him misery are four wicked characters, forcing him to constantly confront death even in his state of amorous intoxication. With these stories constituted of both the real world and a hair-raising imaginary one, the composer leads his listeners into a universe where the border between dreams and reality is easily blurred.

The piece returns to the repertoire of the Opera after a hiatus of 25 years in a new production directed by Kriszta Székely, with sets by Nelli Pallós, costumes by Dóra Pattantyus, and choreography by Karina Sarkissova. The title role is performed by Boldizsár László, the triple role of Olympia, Giulietta and Antonia is sung by Klára Kolonits. The cast also features Éva Bernáth, Viktória MesterJudit NémethTibor Szappanos, Géza Gábor, András Kőrösi, Péter Kálmán, Bence Pataki and artists of the Hungarian National Ballet. The Hungarian State Opera Orchestra and Chorus (chorus master: Gábor Csiki) are conducted by Gergely Kesselyák.
