Festive gala concert with Hungarian and English surtitles
Ildikó Komlósi is the Hungarian mezzo-soprano who has achieved the most significant international career in recent decades. Meanwhile, she has apperaed on the stages of the Hungarian State Opera for 40 years since February 1983. Her international career began with winning the 1986 Pavarotti Singing Competition, and she was fortunate to debut alongside the legendary singer in Verdi’s Requiem. She is a recurring guest artist at the world’s most prominent opera house, recognized as one of the most adept interpreters of Judith in Bluebeard’s Castle both domestically and abroad. The artist, who received the Chamber Singer title in 2016 followed by the Kossuth Prize, has performed in 23 different roles in 250 opera performances in our theatres alone. Therefore, she has plenty to choose from when reflecting on the past four decades. A unique evening with a special and exceptionally personal programme is to be expected on her special night.
