Aldo Finzi memorial concert at Carnegie Hall

The Hungarian State Opera Orchestra is preparing for an extraordinary event as it makes its Carnegie Hall debut as part of the institution's autumn tour to the United States.
This will be the storied New York concert hall's second time hosting a concert dedicated to the memory of Aldo Finzi. After a promising start, the career of this Italian composer was thwarted by World War Two, and he died at the age of 48.

The Opera's orchestra will play three symphonic poems of Finzi's, as well as a violin concerto by a contemporary Italian composer and several Hungarian works.
