In the autumn of 2017, the Hungarian State Opera
Orchestra was chosen to accompany the world’s current
top soprano, Anna Netrebko, and her husband,
the tenor Yusif Eyvazov, in an unedited live television
broadcast by ZDF at the famous Waldbühne, the concert
venue in the forest near the Olympiapark in Berlin.
Almost 20,000 people got to see the concert there,
which was followed by their wildly successful performance
of Andrea Chénier at the Erkel Theatre a few
months later. Our next stop is to present an opera gala with the famous couple in Cologne.
