The Hungarian National Ballet, the 136-year-old official ballet company of the Hungarian State Opera, announces an online audition upon invitation for soloists and corps de ballet with contracts starting from 15 July 2020 or 1 October for soloists, and 15 July 2020 for corps de ballet (depending on the applicants’ work visa requirements). Applications by classically trained, professional male and female ballet dancers are welcome. Outstanding technique and qualities are a must.
Beginning with 1 July, guided tours are available again at the Opera House. English language tours take place daily at 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. Tours in Hungarian are offered at 4:00 p.m. on Thursdays and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Aurora Bosch was born in Havana, Cuba. She began her studies at Alicia Alonso´s Academy, where she trained in Ballet, Spanish Dance, Character Dance, Pas de Deux, Anatomy in application to dancers physique, Make up and Pantomima. Joined National Ballet of Cuba in 1956, became Principal Dancer in 1967. She has been a ballet professor with experience in Pedagogy of Classical Dance. Principal Maitre of Cuban National Ballet and Founder of National School, specialized in Methodology. Director of Havana Ballet School. Assistant Professor at the Dance Faculty of High Level Institute of Art and Doctorate in Science of Art, Havana. Among her teachers we find Alicia Alonso, Fernando Alonso, José Parés, Magda G. Aunon, Igor Youskevitch, Leon Fokine, Mary Skeaping, Alexandra Fedorova, Ana Ivanova and Charles Dickson. Her repertory is based on classical traditional ballets, but dances pieces from George Balanchine, Anthony Tudor, Jerome Robins and Alberto Alonso too. Some of her awards: National Prix of Dance, Cuba; Medal National Museum of Fine Arts; Silver and Gold Medals at II and III, International Ballet Competition. Varna , Bulgaria; Special Price, created for her interpretation at the role of “Myrtha”, the Queen of the Willis/GISELLE; from Writers and Critics of Dance at the Champs Elysées International Festival. As a ballet mistress and teacher she worked with Ballet du Rhin, Mulhouse and Strasbourg School, France; Royal Danish Ballet and School, Copenhagen, Denmark; Ballet Company Opera Theatre, Zurich, Switzerland; San Francisco Ballet School, USA; Ballet Company Opera Theatre, Vienna, Austria; Pittsburgh Ballet Company, USA; National Ballet Company and School, Mexico; Ballet Company Opera Theatre and School, Budapest, Hungary; English National Ballet Company and Central School of Ballet, London, UK; National Ballet. Theatre Institute of Barcelona, National Company of Dance, Víctor Ullate Company, Spain. She is the artistic director of National Ballet Company of Mexico. She was member of the Jury at XIV International Ballet Competition Varna, Bulgaria.
