Dear Visitors and Customers,
The management of the Hungarian State Opera would like to express their gratitude (also on behalf of the sales team) for the patience and understanding shown by their customers in the past weeks and without whom the institute would have no future. The artists and employees of the Opera are determined to do their best to reward all the love and trust once the epidemic is over.
After commencing her music studies as a member of the Hungarian Radio Children's Choir, Annamária Bucsi continued her training under teacher Katalin Schultz in the voice and music department of Városmajor High School, where she was a soloist in the Angelica Girls' Choir. At the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, she first earned a degree in voice pedagogy at the Budapest Pedagogical Institute, followed by another in opera performance from the academy's opera department, after studying under Dénes Gulyás and Balázs Kovalik. She has since worked at the National Theatre, the Budapest Operetta Theatre, the Hungarian theatre, the Örkény Theatre and several other theatres around Hungary. She is a frequent guest at the Szeged Open-Air Festival, most recently as Marie Louise, wife of Gérard Depardieu's Napoleon, in Háry János.
