András Stohl


András Stohl graduated from the College of Theatre and Film Arts in 1990 as a student of Gábor Székely and Gábor Zsámbéki, later signing with the Katona József Theatre, where he remained a member until 2001. From 2003 until 2013 he was one of the leading actors at the National Theatre, and has been a member of the Comedy Theatre since 2013. Over the course of his career, he has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the special prize of the National Theatre Festival (1992), the Applause Award (1997), the Mari Jászai Award (2000) the Súgó 'Snail' Award (2002), the Farkas-Ratkó Award (2007), the Gundel Artistic Award (2010), the Theatre Critics' Award (2013), the Gyula Hegedús Commemorative Ring (2016) and the Andor Ajtay Commemorative Award (2016). In addition to his roles in prose and musical theatre, he has had numerous film roles, and is also well known as a voice-over actor and television presenter.
