Gregory Kunde’s Concert of Puccini arias

To close and crown both PucciniFest and the Puccini’s Italy season, there will be an aria concert by American tenor Gregory Kunde. One of the most skilled singers on the international opera scene, Kunde is a regular guest at major opera houses around the world and collaborates with leading conductors and orchestras. This will be his first visit to Hungary.
He has received several awards for his work so far, most recently being named Male Singer of the Year at the 2016 International Opera Awards. After enjoying outstanding success with French and bel canto roles in the early part of his career, he is today one one of the most sought-after singers of the dramatic repertoire, primarily in portraying the heroes of Verdi and Puccini. A taste of his wonderful arias can be gleaned from his first solo album: the insinuatingly titled Vincerò! was released in 2017.
Joining Kunde as guests will be the Opera’s soloists, who will sing the loveliest melodies written by Puccini’s contemporaries.
