At the northern end of the so-called B-hall of the Eiffel Hall, a vast space is gaining a new function: it will serve as a venue for light music, crossover, and jazz programmes, conferences, welcoming casually dressed guests who come specifically for a quality experience.
The Hangar, set to be inaugurated in autumn 2026, will feature a 1,000-seat auditorium partly designed by the employees of the OPERA workshops, just like all other functional spaces of the Eiffel Art Studios. At the inauguration, one of the most significant milestones in Hungarian opera will be performed: Béla Bartók’s one-act opera Bluebeard’s Castle, which plays on the concept of being “inside or outside.” This revolutionary fusion of folk culture and classical music – essentially an early example of crossover – will mark the opening of the venue.
