András Gábor-Róbert is originally from Lövéte and was born in Szentegyháza on January 23, 1998. He received his primary education in his hometown, Lövéte, and began 9th grade in Csíkszereda at the Nagy István Art High School, in the class of vocal teacher Melinda Mihály Fábián. During his primary and secondary school years, he was a dedicated member of the Szentegyháza Children's Philharmonic—initially as a choir singer, later as a vocal soloist, and he also played the violin in the orchestra. He participated in numerous folk song and classical music competitions, consistently returning with excellent results.
During his high school years, he made his stage debut in the roles of Edwin and Boni in The Csárdás Princess, the most popular operetta by Imre Kálmán, which was performed in an abridged version by the school orchestra. After successfully completing his final exams, he began undergraduate studies in 2017 at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts of the West University of Timișoara, majoring in Classical Singing. He later completed his master’s studies in the same city under the mentorship of Silvia-Sorina Munteanu, a principal soprano soloist of the Bucharest National Opera House.
In parallel, he also earned a degree in Music Education from the Institute of Education Sciences of the Partium Christian University in Oradea. During his university years, he held numerous solo and group recital evenings with his colleagues and collaborated multiple times with the Bucharest National Opera House, the Timișoara National Opera House, the “Banatul” Philharmonic of Timișoara, and the Arad State Philharmonic.
Since March 2023, he has been working as a tenor soloist at the Hungarian Opera of Cluj-Napoca. In addition, he is currently a student at the Kvintesszencia Master School, founded by Erika Miklósa - Hungarian coloratura soprano, recipient of the Hungarian Order of Saint Stephen, the Kossuth Prize, and the Liszt Ferenc Prize - which operates within the Institute of Music of the University of Pécs.
In his ongoing professional development and artistic preparation, he is regularly supported by his colleague, baritone soloist Sándor Balla of the Hungarian Opera of Cluj-Napoca.
