Anna Szekér was born in Kecskemét and graduated from the Piarist High School. She then studied with Katalin Gémes at the Szent István Király Music High School in Budapest. In 2021, she was admitted to the classical vocal performance program at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where she studies under Ildikó Iván. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in opera at the same institution.
She has collaborated on multiple occasions with the Szent István Philharmonic, performing the role of Ágika in Péter Tóth’s opera Tóték and the role of the Dew Fairy in Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel. In September 2025, she performed Mimì’s aria and the great duet from the first act of Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème with the International Erasmus Orchestra at the Academy of Music, conducted by Elio Orciuolo. She has also performed in collaborative productions in Berlin with students of the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, and in Mantua with students of the Lucio Campiani Conservatory.
She has successfully participated in masterclasses led by Éva Marton and Thomas Quasthoff.
