Lilla Takács was born in Balassagyarmat, where she began her musical studies in recorder and later in voice. In 2022, her hometown honored her with the Young Role Model of Balassagyarmat Award.

She studied voice at the Bartók–Pikéthy Secondary School of Music in Vác under Éva Rácz. In 2018, she was admitted to the Faculty of Music of the University of Debrecen, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Classical Voice and her Master’s degree in Opera Performance as a student of Ildikó Iván. During her studies, she received the Tamás Vásáry Scholarship, the National Higher Education Scholarship, and the New National Excellence Program Scholarship.

Her stage experience during her university years included roles such as the Second Witch (Purcell: Dido and Aeneas), Mária (Huszka: Lieutenant Maria), Rita (Donizetti: Rita), and Hänsel (Humperdinck: Hänsel und Gretel). For her diploma recital she sang the role of Norina in Donizetti’s Don Pasquale, conducted by Géza Török.

In 2024, she graduated from the Liszt Academy of Music with a degree in Vocal Pedagogy. She was accepted into the Italian Bottega Donizetti Young Artist Program, and in 2024 made her debut as Ines in Donizetti’s Zoraida di Granata at the Teatro Sociale in Bergamo, under the baton of Alberto Zedda. Her vocal qualities and stage presence were praised by numerous international critics.

She is the founder of KorTársulat (Contemporary Ensemble), where she has performed Lucy (Menotti: The Telephone) and Lysistrata (Petrovics: Lysistrata). In youth productions, she appeared as the French Princess and the Stepmother in Pongrác Kacsóh’s János vitéz, conducted by Valéria Csányi.

As a soloist, she performed in Germany at the 2023 Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg Opera Festival, conducted by Alexis Kossenko. Supported by the Wacław Felczak Foundation, she recorded Chopin’s 17 Polish Songs in her own Hungarian translations, accompanied by pianist Ildikó Cs. Nagy.

She has participated in masterclasses led by Ildikó Iván, Ilona Tokody, András Muskát, Katalin Pitti, B. Attila Kiss, Éva Bátori, Géza Török, Levente Török, Erika Miklósa, Ágnes Kovács, Nicoleta Ardelean, János Ács, Júlia Pászthy, Edit Hruby, Kinga Kriszta, and István Rácz, among others. She also attended the Musica Mundi Early Music Masterclass, the Gödöllő Early Music Masterclass, the Bottega Donizetti Masterclass in Bergamo, and the Musicum Laude Masterclass in Oradea.

She is currently a member of the Éva Marton International Opera Studio.
