Graduated in 1989 from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Opera-Oratorio Department, and attended masterclasses with Yevgeny Nesterenko and Sylvia Geszty. Winner of the Antonín Dvořák, Vienna International, and Brussels Belcanto Singing Competitions, the latter awarding her the Grand Prix.
She is a regular guest artist at the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf. Her international appearances include Théâtre de La Monnaie in Brussels, Opera Vlaanderen in Antwerp, the Vienna Konzerthaus, Unter den Linden in Berlin, Opern Frankfurt, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Semperoper Dresden, Cologne Opera, Tokyo NNT, Arena di Verona, Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, La Scala in Milan, and the Nice Opera.
Throughout her career, she has performed roles such as Azucena in Verdi’s Il trovatore (Trieste, Dresden, Cologne, Tokyo, Verona), Amneris in Aida (Turin, Verona, Barcelona), Fenena in Nabucco (Verona), Eboli in Don Carlo, Ulrica in Un ballo in maschera, Adalgisa in Bellini’s Norma, Sara in Donizetti’s Roberto Devereux, Hedwig in Offenbach’s Les Fées du Rhin, Herodias in Strauss’s Salome, Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier, the Princess in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Suzuki in Madama Butterfly, Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Judith in Bartók’s Bluebeard’s Castle, and Örzse in Kodály’s Háry János.
