Emőke Baráth commenced her vocal studies under the tutelage of József Hormai. At the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music (2007-2012) her teacher was Júlia Pászthy, and she also graduated from Florence's Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini. She has won awards at several international singing competitions, including winning the Second Pietro Antonio Cesti Baroque Opera Competition in Innsbruck and taking the grand prize at the Verbier Festival. In addition to her work at the Hungarian State Opera, she appears at numerous festivals both in Hungary and abroad, as well as at various opera houses, most frequently in Baroque works and those of the Viennese Classical composers.
