He began his career as a member of the Choir of the Opera House. After graduating from Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music  where he studied with Zsolt Bende , he became a soloist in the Pécs National Theatre in 1984 and in the Opera House in 1989. Besides a number of character roles (Erkel: Bánk bán  Petur bán, Mascagni: Cavalleria rusticana  Alfio, Mussorgsky: Boris Godunov  Varlam, Puccini: Madama Butterfly  Bonzo, Rossini: Cinderella  Don Magnifico, Verdi: Don Carlos  The Grand Inquisitor, Wagner: Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg  Kothner) he has also sung main roles including Scarpia (Tosca), Iago (Otello), Wotan (Das Rheingold), Klingsor (Parsifal). He has appeared as a guest singer in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Iceland, Japan and Thailand.
