She began her music studies at Bartók Béla Secondary School of Music, and then continued vocal and opera studies with Edit Fábry and Margit László at Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music from 1983 to 1988. She has been a mezzo soprano singer with the Hungarian State Opera House since 1988. She has toured in Italy, France, Israel, the United States and Japan, and won 2nd prize at the Rossini Singing Competition at Schwetzingen in 1991.
