In the next part of the series, on 7 November, 2015, Ingrid Kertesi awaits fans with Italian baroque and French impressionit songs.

First-rate song programmes continue at the Opera House on the first Saturday of each month as the finest Hungarian singers delve deeper into the world of song, with a foreign artist invited each year as well. Access to the concerts, which start at 4 pm, will be via the Royal Staircase from the Dalszínház utca entrance to the left of the Opera House. From there, our 80 or so guests will proceed up onto the marble colonnade, where we will be waiting with a glass of Hungarian wine selected by our gastronomic consultant Ildikó Káli, president of the Hungarian Association of Sommeliers. Suitably refreshed, we will move on to the Bertalan Székely Hall, resplendent with its frescoes and paintings, marvellous wood panelling and intimate lighting, where the Hungarian translations of the songs will be beamed up by a projector.
