A Magyar Nemzeti Balett nyílt napja 2025/2026

On World Ballet Day and on World Dance Day, the Opera House welcomes adults and children alike to learn about ballet in a nutshell. Once in autumn and once in spring, we hold open days at the Opera House, where those interested can gain an insight into the everyday life of the Hungarian National Ballet. The tours are led by ballet masters Katalin Kőszegi and György Szirb, who themselves worked as dancers within these walls and on these boards.

The program is in Hungarian. During the program, we will be climbing many floors, and unfortunately there is no elevator, so anyone participating in the program does so at their own risk. Since we are visiting the theater while it is in operation, the itinerary will be determined based on availability, but it will definitely include a visit to the ballet studio. During the program, photography is only allowed in public areas; it is prohibited backstage!

The open day can be visited in several shifts. Participation in the program is free of charge, but you must register using the button below. Registration for the autumn event will open on November 7, 2025, and for the spring event on April 10, 2026.
