Ticket prices are indicated in HUF, no Euro or other currencies are accepted in our ticket-offices.

The OPERA reserves the right to change the timing, venue, programme, and cast in accordance with the GTC. Tickets and season tickets can be refunded or exchanged for another performance only in change of date or cancellation of a performance. All unused tickets can be safely sold on the Ticketswap website, which is officially allows you to resell some of your tickets in complete confidence and security.
It is also possible to purchase gift vouchers at our box offices in denominations of 1000, 2000, 5000 and 10000 forints that can be exchanged for tickets for productions organised by the Opera. CLICK HERE for online purchase.
The OPERA offers the following concessions for its own events taking place at the Opera House:
Student discounts: 50% off – Only available Level 3 centre seats of the Opera House, as well as for performances held in the Miklós Bánffy Stage of the Eiffel Art Studios.
The HSO accepts all types of student ID cards.
Family concessions: When purchasing two full-price (adult) tickets, children under the age of 18 receive a 50% discount. The discount applies to seats in the stalls and boxes of the Opera House, and to performances taking place in the Miklós Bánffy Stage of the Eiffel Art Studios.
Hungarian Discount: In the 2025/26 season productions related to Hungarian themes, the OPERA offers tickets at half price., all performances of The Viceroy Bánk, Stephen the King, Valuska, Royal Highness / The Verdict, as well as the aria evening Ybl 212: My homeland, my homeland, you mean everything to me are available at a 50% discount.
Ticket for teachers: 50% off – Only available in the Miklós Bánffy Stage of the Eiffel Art Studios. The HSO accepts all types of Teacher ID cards.
These concession tickets can only be purchased at our ticket offices or can be requested via ticket@opera.hu. The validity of the concession may be checked upon entry. The above offers cannot be combined, and do not apply for The Nutcracker, the main rehearsals and the Guided tours.
